If you've been reading this blog you know that last Thursday we lost Cj's nice leopard blankie on a walk. I was bummed and put up reward flyers trying to see if I could get it back. Above is the picture I put on the flyer. It was a gift from Auntie Theresa, Syd got one with zebra stripes. They are super softie and the girls love them. Well yesterday afternoon I got a phone call from a Mexican saying he had my blanket. I was like great where are you at and he said in his broke english "I dont want $10" I thought he was going to be nice guy and then he says "I want $100 or I throw in trash" I told him thanks but no thanks and that he was mean. Then he hung up on me! my one and only call and it was probably a crank call. I could buy a new blanket for that price!!

Twin toddler palygroup
Today was my turn to host the playgroup so I was running around with my head cut off this morning trying to get the house put in order. I made it with time even to spare! The dog hair is just so crazy but now I have a nice clean house. We had one more twin mom show up today, Laura, she has a 2 year old boy and 3 month old girls. So all of us have twin girls...I am the only one with a girl singleton though. I am sure glad to have found these ladies. It's so nice to know we are not alone and they know what we're going through with 2 infants life gets crazy tired sometimes!

tired
the last few days have been tiring to say the least. i dont know what it was but this past weekend at least to me seemed the longest so far. It's just constant kids 24/7. Love them but sometimes I would just love 8 solid hours of sleep! Sam didnt nap, well she did but it was only in the car maybe 40 minutes each day. So that makes for long afternoons and she fights bed time then too. This parenting is tough. with all the cleaning and feeding it just never ends! Feeding the twins takes about 45 minutes and I am only feeding them morning and evening...I havent started lunch yet...it just takes to dang long. I know it's time to start at least with Syd since Cj still really doesnt like to eat. Take last night for an example Syd ate 2 Green Beans, 2 Sweet potatoes, 1 carrot, and one chicken (I make my food so these are cubes from ice trays) and 7 oz of formula and Cj ate 1 green bean and 1 carrot and tasted the sweet potato but didnt want it plus 9 oz of formula. So I know Syd would love lunch too. This week for sure. We are trying the target formula next since it's half the price of the enfamil that we've been using. I sure hope Cj takes to it. The Costco brand didnt do well with her so I am hoping this brand will.
Right now all the girls are alseep in their own beds. Sam was the hardest to put down today. She screamed for 30 minutes and only wanted me to snuggle her in her bed which is a toddler size so very uncomfortable she was going ballistic in our bed. She really misses her pacifer but I am not giving in plus they were thrown in the garbage so they are gone. I have caught her 3 X with Cjs bice -never syds- so I know she wants it back. I am hoping in a week it'll be forgotten, yeah right!
The breast feeding is done. My breasts have been extremely tender so I sent out a email to my moms club asking if I should pump or just live through this pain. Most people sent back saying that I should just live through it and put cabbage leaves on them it should only last a week. and also to watch for lumps, plugged ducts to make sure I dont get mastitis so far so good. They do feel a little better today so maybe the cabbage is working and the worst of it is over!
Well thats my rant for now...

BICE
Well last night ended up being a pretty hard night for Sam. She went to bed and wanted her pacifer but like the post before the "bicey fairy" came and took them away. She was sad but went to bed...woke up at 11 crying for it so Jon brought her to bed with us. He took her back to her bed at some point becasue at 2ish she called for me and I went in and snuggled her for a bit...sure wish we'd get her a bigger bed hard to snuggled in a toddler bed! she fell back to sleep and was up crying again for it at 6. So Jon brought her into the living room to watch Dora. Sydney woke up so I got her and her a bottle but w/ in 5 minutes Cj was awake so Jon got her and came back to bed w her and her bottle. Once Syd was done I got up and now Sam and I are going to go get donuts!

the bicey fairy
On another note, I went to bed last night deciding that I wasnt going to breast feed anymore. I have been feeding both of them for about 10-15 minutes each morning but the last couple mornings it's just been Sydney so I thought now is the time. The only reason I was doing it was to get some one on one time with each girl but it wasnt working out that way anyways. It's sad but I did the best I could. I just am bummed that I couldnt do it full time since formula is so dang expensive. I did try Costcos Kirkalnd brand a few weeks back and Cj had a terrible rash the whole time and it cleared up the minute I went back to the Enfamil. I am going to try targets brand next and hopefully she'll like it. We go through one of those big cans every 4 days and at 25 bucks a pop it adds up!

Bumbo party
These kids are just so cute sitting in their bumbos! Yesterday we went for a walk down to the pizza palor for lunch with Julie, Dom and Taylor. It ended up being a loud whiny lunch. First we lost Cj's best leopard blankie on the walk, then the twins cried pretty much the whole time we were eating even though they had their bottles and Sam and Taylor werent listening to us by the end I wanted to pull all my hair out. I came home and made LOST BLANKET signs with a picture of Cj on it all snuggled in it with a $10 reward. I was so bummed! Jon humored me and we all walked down to Chipotles for dinner while I posted the signs on a bunch of telephone poles. I am hoping a highschooler picked it up and would rather have 10 bucks then a baby blanket!!
