hats?

The other day Sydney was walking around the house with her "new" hat which we all thought was so funny... Sam had to go get one too!

still their favorite...

...place to sit!

seperation anxiety

This morning was Sams worst case of separation anxiety. Sydney has a slight fever (100.6 last night and 100.9 this morning) I think she is cutting a tooth but I didnt want to risk exposing Mondays toddling times playgroup so I asked Karla, who was hosting this mornings playdate, if I could just drop Sam off. All she talked about yesterday was going to Cynthias and playing with her friends and this morning the first thing out of her mouth was "lets go to Cynthias now" At 10 I packed up the girls and headed up. We talked about how Syd was sick and how she was going to play with her friends while mommy left with the babies. She was fine with it until we actually got there. She did not want me to go. After the 3rd time back to the car I told her I would watch her put on one dress up dress then I would have to go. The twins were not happy sitting in the car for 20 minutes. She went in, she sat on Karlas lap for a second and then got herself a dress. I helped her into it and told her I had to leave...more crying so we took off the dress and left. Major drama in the car driving away. She promised if I took her back she would play with her friends and I could leave so I turned back around and tried one more time. Nope didnt work. Complete hysterics so I finally gave up after 30 minutes of this the twins were not happy so I had three bawling kids driving back home...oh what fun parenthood is! They are all happy now sitting in their highchairs eating mac and cheese with veggies watching Dora. Sam said she was going back to Cynthias tonight after Daddy gets home so he can watch the babies...I'm not looking forward to that conversation tonight when we have to tell she cant

Red Tractor

We went to the Red Tractor in Dublin for some tasty eggs this morning. Samantha colored a very pretty picture (as you can see) and she was very proud of it so she put it on the wall with all the others.

Courtney missed her mouth! (and she was tired)

This weekend two realtors called to show the house, one yesterday at noon and the other this morning at 10:30. It is a royal pain to keep this house "show" worthy with all these kids. I took the kids yesterday and went to Taylor and Dominics birthday party while Jon stayed and cleaned the house. Today Jon piled all the kids in the car and went and the Starbucks drive thru at the Bayfair mall while I picked up(it wasnt as bad as yesterday--I got the good day) The biggest bummer of it all is NEITHER realtor showed up and they didnt even call. It is sooo rude. The funny thing is we buried St. Joseph and prayed yesterday...I know we arent Catholic but we thought we'd give it a shot!

Lawrence Hall of Science

The weather wasnt bad today so I thought we should get out of the house. We picked up Tracy and Jaina and went to the Lawrence Hall of Science in Berkeley. I havent been there in years, probably the last time was when Jack was 4 and he's 11 now! It was fun. Tracy ended up buying a year pass so I got in free which is always a bonus! (thanks tracy!)

the kids really like the blocks.

Samantha misses her gymnastics class...she made a balance beam!

Sydney really liked playing with the little chairs!

I really loved the view!

Tracy and Jaina!

what a night!

At 2:12 am Courtney started crying, Jon got up and tried to calm her down. I got up to go to the bathroom. I was just about to go when all of a sudden Sam was standing next to me and she had to go. Thankfully I had started yet because when a soon to be 3 year old has to go she has to go...so I got up she went, washed her hands and then trotted back to bed...not one word came out of her mouth. After I was done I went in and tucked her all back in and kissed her and back to bed to I went. Unbeknownst to me Jon had brought Courtney into our bed and she just wouldnt go back to sleep. It wasnt like she was happy either. She didnt want a bottle which was a fiasco, first the nipple was blocked so she couldnt get anything, then it was way to hot, then I think it was too cold and she just wasnt happy at all. She did finally drink it but it didnt get her to go back to sleep. At 3 I told Jon to put her in the port a crib (it is set up in the corner in our room for her daytime naps) where she proceeded to cry for the next 23 minutes when Jon couldnt take it any more. He ended up taking her out into the other room, rocked her and she finally went back to her bed at 4 am. Thankfully everybody slept in until 8:55 this morning! oh what a night! and Syd slept through the whole thing...go figure...
