white tank mountains

Today we went for a drive to White Tank Mountain Regional Park. The whole valley is surrounded by mountains and these particular ones have been calling me. From a distance there looks like there is a road that goes to the top but upon further inspection it isnt a road after all. The park was really neat. We definetly didnt go prepared though. Next time we need to pack a picnic, wear hiking shoes and bring backpacks for the little ones to ride in while we hike around. They do have a couple really fun play areas for the kiddos to play in.

Here's a web cam of the mountains in the area.

a view from the park area to our car

from the car to the park (it's so cool that they have alot of parks covered like this)

Samantha really loves playing on the 'monkey' bars

when we first got there Courtney was napping in the car but she woke up so she didnt miss out on the fun...Sydney was happy to see her and had to run to give her a hug!

they all loved the four way teeter totter

looking for a play place...

This afternoon I thought we'd go to a indoor playplace at one of the fast food restaurants that I have seen pretty much on every corner but for some reason I couldnt find one near our house. We ended up going through the drive thru and we got a cone, a sundae, and a milkshake. Sam ate the cone. I shared the shake and sundae with Syd and Court. Courtney really like the milkshake! At first Sydney wouldnt take a bite of the the sundae but once she realized what it was she couldnt get enough!

YMCA

We joined the local YMCA yesterday and today was our first trip there. Sam really wanted to check out the pool. We put the little ones in the daycare (free day care while you use the facilities and it's really nice) We signed them in at 4:45 and headed to the pool. At 5:15 I thought I better go check on them since this was the first time we left them (anywhere) and it was really cute, Courtney was sitting on one of the watchers lap reading a book but at closer look she had that look like she had been crying and she was taking those deep breaths. I felt horrible. I opened the door and Sydney was in the corner, crying also. Made my heart jsut hurt since I didnt check on them earlier. The watcher said Sydney had fun and she had jsut started crying and she thought it was because her sister was so sad. We'll try again in a couple days, next time we'll leave Sam in there too.

On a happier note, Sam had so much fun at the pool. Starting next month she gets to start swim lessons all by herself!

playplace

This morning I thought we'd go check out the Wildlife World Zoo thats near us. Well we drove up to it and I swear there was 10 school buses and the parking lot was backed up to the street so I made the wise decision not to go. Sam was NOT pleased! So I told her we could go to the Play Place at McDonalds. I swear every fast food restarauant has a indoor play place here but it seems like every time we go she wants chicken McNuggets or something so we dont go that often. I havent seen or read 'Fast Food Nation' but I hope once a week wont kill them!

Sam is number one!

Courtney was the big climber today. She kept climbing to the top then she'd crawl back down. i did go up once with her so she could go down the slide but I think she was having more fun climbing then the actual sliding part.

more park

While Cj and Syd napped yesterday, Sam and I played at the park. Sam said it isnt as much fun without her sisters. I was talking on the phone while she was playing so I wasnt that much fun! It sure is nice having Jon working from home so we can run a few errands or such while they are sleeping. I did leave Syd the other day while took Cj and Sam out on on an errand to Sam's favorite "dollar tree" store. Jon almost went out for a bit, he forgot for a sec Sydney was sleeping, he told me his first thought was "wow, would my wife would have pissed!"

Namy and Sydney

Some quality time after naptime!

Waterford Square Park

Yesterday morning we headed over the little park in our housing community. It is really popular in the afternoons/evenings with the older kids so it was nice to go there and have the whole place to ourselves!

an action shot!
