a trip to Tucson

Alexa Kay flew in late last night for a fun little visit. We were thinking about things to do and we hadnt ventured over to Tucson since we've been here so we thought we'd check it out. It's about 2 hours away. We werent very smart and didnt look up anything about the city, we thought we'd just wing it. Jon went there when he was around 12 and he remembered an old town so we follwed the signs to it. It ended up being 'old town studios' It looked sorta neat but it cost $18 and it didnt look like something the kids would have really liked. They did have a cowgirl show but we just missed it. So we kept on driving around and found a great little mexican restaurant. It's been in business since 1922 and for the life of me I cant remember the name of it. We asked our waitress where a park was and she sent us to Reid Park. We played around for awhile then drove home. Wasnt the best little adventure we'd taken...i think next time we do something like this we'll plan ahead and at least google things to do with kids!

the splint is gone!

I didnt cut her nails the 6 weeks she had the splint on. Pretty gross and long! ...she's getting a manicure this afternoon!

We will never speak of the 'horsey' ride again!

pool

our pool is out of commision for at least 4 weeks...because of the cryptosporidium. We dont know if our pool had it but it is better to be safe then sorry. Our pool guys called the cdc yesterday about it and they said its a nasty little thing and we should bleach everything. Fun! I am throwing away all the bath toys that allow water inside of them. Next summer I'll be thinking twice before I head to a splash park!

I dont know how to spell it but thats what the kids got. Its from a contaminated pool or splash park. More then likely Sam picked up it at the Goodyear Splash Park because she was at the park on the 27th of Sept and 2 days later the diarrhea started. Then she got in our pool and infected it. with Courtneys arm she didnt get in the pool as much but the other two did so thats why they got it more and longer then Court. It's something that has to just go through there systems and more then likely they kept infecting themselves. The pool guy comes on Thursday and it will get 'shocked' and kill the dang little creatures...if thats what they are. I jsut feel bad for my friend Julie who came for a visit and we infected them too! Thank goodness we got that all figured out. We've been solid for 2 days now hopefully it is over. We did get in the pool 2 days ago so that could be a problem but at least we now know what it is! I am getting tired of all the poo!

Sometimes the girls think the staircase is a fun place to play. Especially when I am sitting on the computer. They pretended it was their beds tonight. Lately everytime I take the camera out she says 'cheese' but most of the time she doesnt look at the camera when she says it.

I hadnt picked up the Nikon for a week so here are a few pictures from last week. Courtney wore Sams back pack around for about 4 hours or so. Wouldnt take it off even while she was sitting in her high chair to eat. silly girl!
