the blue robe

My mom bought a robe awhile back to keep here. Its blue and super softie. I try and wear it alot. Courtney thinks its hers. If she sees me wearing it at anytime morning or night she makes me wrap her up in it. Sometimes she even uses it as her blankie at bed time. She is attached to it more then any other thing that she has.

sleep

When I say sleep I mean lack of sleep. I dont know what it is but when Jon is gone for more then one night someone sleeps like crap. Last night it was Courtney. At about 12:15 she woke and wanted me to snuggle her back to sleep. I laid with her for a good 15 minutes but when I tried to get up she just didnt want me to go. So I brought her to my bed, its a lot bigger. She jsut wouldnt lay still. She was crawling all over the place. Finally at 2 I took her back to her bed but she cried so loud it woke Sydney up. So I had to deal with two crying tired 2 year olds...and its 2:30 in the morning! I finally just went back to bed and said they are eventually going to get tired of the crying which they did and we all slept pretty good until 5 when Courtney woke up. I brought her back to my bed again- this time though she brought her blankie with her so she snuggled right in and slept until 8 am! Sydney slept until 7:50 so I am pretty rested but not as rested as Sam who is STILL sleeping!

board games

This evening after the twins went to bed Sam & I played a couple board games. She beat me two times @ Candyland and I beat her barely @ the memory game. You know the game where you put the cards upside down and you have to find its match. She should have won but I got lucky and got the last 4 pairs. She had skill. We probably had 21 pairs on the table. Once a card flipped over in was engrained in her 'memory.' At one point we stopped the game so she could run to the bathroom. She didnt realize the seat was down and started to go, thankfully she stopped herself and yelled for help. After I cleaned up & she finished it was her turn and she remembered where the matches were. She said "I have lots of memories mom, you lose yours sometimes!" After that comment i was happy that i won even if it was only by one pair!

Samantha had a sleepover w Namy and Papa last night. Sydney woke up first and we snuggled in my bed for a bit before she wanted to watch tv. When Courtney woke up she joined in the snuggle fest and we watched Sesame Street. They sure do love Elmo!

They went and got themselves dressed. They looked so cute I told them to stand next to eachother and put their arms around eachother. They looked at eachother like they didnt know what the heck I was talking about

I told them to give eachother "loves" and this is what they did!
