sick day

It's been a long rainy indoor day. Sam has had a low fever pretty much all day...99.4...At 445 it spiked up to 101.3. Poor little girl. She didnt act sick at all today, jsut a little stir crazy cuz we were inside but now she's a tired and jsut laying on the floor watch Spirit "the horsey movie" as she calls it. Since the fever went above 100 I gave her some tylonel which she really doesnt mind taking...she asked for more. Sydney napped a little better today so hopefully we'll get a good nights sleep out of her! I think I'll get out of the house for a bit after dinner though, it's hard being stuck inside all day with a sick kid that wants to go go go...
on another note...Courtneys top left tooth poked through but she isnt be very cooperative on letting me take a picture of it!

Saturday night bath

sleep

It is so true that if a baby doesnt get good naps during the day, your night is hell. Well Sydney didnt nap very well yesterday. Her morning nap was only 30 minutes and her afternoon nap was about 20 minutes coming back from Windmill Farms in San Ramon. So at 1045 she woke up and was whiny and cranky. Jon gave her bottle but she didnt go back to sleep then he tried to snuggle her but she just wouldnt go back to sleep so I tried to snuggle her too at 1130 and she was tossing and turning. She did end up falling back to sleep and Jon got her in her bed around 2 but she was up at 6 so hopefully she'll nap better today!
Sam fell asleep in one of her princess dresses at 6:15 w out dinner on the couch and slept until 7 this morning. We did move her into her room around 7:30. She did have a little fever in the late afternoon and this morning it was only 99.3 so it looks like we'll be staying in today. My poor little princess.
Courtney was our perfect sleeper, as usual, she would probably still be sleeping now but some how the dog got into her room with the door shut so he woke her up scratching to get out! ugh!

Sulphur Creek

Today Sams playgroup signed up for Toddler Time at Sulphur Creek. It's a fun little class that I had taken Sam to before the twins were born. The lady who runs it really enjoys what she's doing and is very enthusiastic about the animals. Today it was all about legs. We saw a spider, a toad and a chicken. Sam, of course, liked looking at them but would not touch them. She did color a little frog during craft time and at the end we walked around to see the coyote. She thought it wasnt going to be in a cage and wanted me to hold her. It was cute.
Gabriella, Margarita and Julianna were fascinated by the trantula

Cynthia wasnt to sure about the chicken!
Snack time!

Kris stayed with the twins while we went to our little class and when I got back she had cleaned it all up! Yay Kris...see ya next month!

Sunday morning

Jon let me sleep in a bit this morning and ever since I have been up I really havent been paying to much attention to the kiddos at all just surfing the net. So I turned around and this is what I saw!

When Sam was about this age we just had the garbage cans out with lids on them and she found them fascinating so we bought this cupboard thing to put them in. We had to baby proof that too. We still have the lock on it but we havent used it for awhile since Sam now knows garbage is gross but Cj has found the garbage fascinating now so the lock has to now be used!

I guess I should make sure the toilet paper is put up too...since Sam was fascinated by that too at that age.

Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival

This morning Syd woke up pretty early but she got into bed with us and went back to sleep until 745. At 815 I woke Jon up and said if we want to get out of her by 930 we better start getting ready...we were in the car by 927...A great feat with 3 kids! After a quick stop at Target for pull ups and a pumpkin shirt for Sam we were off to Half Moon Bay for there annual parade and pumpkin festival. It was the craziest place. I was assuming it was going to be crowded but that doest even describe it. We walked around a little bit then went to find a spot to watch the parade. With as many people that were there they sure didnt have a very big parade course so there was like 10000 people trying to find a spot in a 2 block area it seemed. We found a spot in back of a tree but it worked. Sam really enjoyed it. At one point during the middle of it t seemed like it was over so half the people, incuding us, started walking up the street and then all of a sudded the more parade so we are trying to get to the side, it was pure mayhem. I ended up just finding a spot and fed the babies while Jon and Sam tried to watch the rest. We then went to find a pumpkin patch. It was fun. Sam loved the bouncy house slide but she was really slow at climbing up to get to the top and when she did it was she was so happy! She picked out a pumpkin for her, 2 yellow squash meets a gourd thingy and 2 little ones for Syd and Cj. When we got home though only one little one made it into the car. This pumpkin patch was super cheap too only $3 for all that. Sydney and Samantha took great naps on the way home but Cj decided against sleeping so she'll be going to bed super early tonight!

when we got home Sydney decided she wanted a dirt snack!

Sam wanted to wear her fairy dress the minute we got home, lots of little girls were in their princess outfits at the festival and Sam wanted hers on too.

Sorry Jon didnt realize that you cant rotate the movie but it's still really cute!

Rain and gymnastics

It rained all day today and about 12:30 samantha and I were going stir crazy staying inside so after we ate lunch I packed the girls up and headed to Costco. I am putting these pictures in our bathroom:
SamanthaCourtneySydney

so I needed to get the one of Sam printed out since I forgot when I made by big winkflash order last week (I ordered over 500 prints!) The twins napped from 1030-12 this morning so I figured they would be good until 2:30 but Samantha and Sydney both fell asleep on the way to Costco so I ended up driving all the way up to Alamo to go through the coffee drive thru (that was Jons idea) so they got an extra 30 minutes of sleeping and Cj ended up falling asleep too. When we got back to Costco it was still pouring but I braved it and load up all the kids into a cart. I love Costco because they have double seats and sam loves riding in the basket! We got a few things and then at the check out sam informs me that she has to go to the bathroom. So I had the checker and her helper watch the twins while I ran Sam into the potty. She was great today in the whole potty thing. No accidents. I told her this morning that after gymnastics tonight if she didnt have one accident all day I'd take her Baskin and Robbins so she did great! The bribery thing really works on her but it's a pain trying to think of things everyday that isnt candy or ice cream! We had so much fun at gymnastics. Next time I take I will bring the video camera becasue it is so funny to watch her do some things. At one point they run around the gym and they are suppose to stay on this blue line but she is looking at me and smiling and running and jsut having a swell time when she would go of course and run into something and fall down. She thinks its really funny. She was trying to do the hula hoop too and it was hilarious wathcing her move her little hips so she made me try it and I cant do it at all and I ended up hitting the hula hoop on her nose and made her cry. No more hulaing for me! then we went to B&R for some tasty ice cream, Sam got mint chocolate chip (she wanted green) I got jamocha oreo and we brought home some orange sherbert for daddy!
