Syds new hair cut!

Sydney needed a haircut really bad so off to 'Fantastic Sams!' I made the guy cut her bangs really short since her hair tends to grow so fast. The guy did an ok job but we sure miss Michelle!

If we leave any chair near any table the twins are up...we have to move the chairs far away or they move them...it's becoming a real pain.

It's so funny that we spend so much money on lots of toys when all they really like to play with are things that really arent toys at all.

Spring Fair

Last night we went to Dreaming Summit Elementary Schools Spring Fair. That's the school that Jessica and Jack (Kim's kids) go to. There are a couple houses in the neighborhood that we like so it could at some point be the girls school too. Sam had a blast. There were a ton of people there so the twins spent pretty much the whole time in the stroller. I won the cake walk and Sam picked out store bought cookies! I tried to steer here to the brownies but she was adament on the flower shaped frosted cookies. Jon was pushing the stroller and a lady said hi to Sydney and Courtney, kinda freaky. She ended up being the childcare lady at the Y yesterday and the girls spent some time in there why I worked out. Small community!

this was the highlight of the night. They got to go down it as much as they wanted and I bet Jessica and Sam spent a half hour playing on the slide!

Jessica came over for a sleep over afterwards. Sam was so excited, as was Jess. They were pretty good. At 9:15 I put them to bed but they wouldnt stay in there so Jon was like 'why do they have to go to bed so early' so he turned the tv back on for them. They stayed up until 10.

Swings

Jessica came over this evening to hang with Sam. They sure do have fun together. Jessica is so great with Samantha and the babies, it's a pleasure to have her here! We walked over to the park for awhile before dinner. The twins sure have the slide thing down. We took Barley with us and a couple people freaked out over him, they thought he was so big. It's so funny to think of someone being scared of Barley the big ol lazy dog that he is. One girl left but the other one was petting him in no time. I came home and bbq'd up some turkey burgers w cheese for us all and we ended it with a tasty ice cream cone! Then we gave the twins a bath and Sam feel in totally clothed which made Jess and I laugh but Sam cry! She ended up taking a shower since she was already wet. Now they are all upstairs making a ton of noise watching 'the goodnight show' and running around!

The twins had the 15/18 month check up today and all is well. Courtney is in the 10% in weight so the doc wants her to start drinking whole milk. Our doctor in Castro Valley thinks that kids get enough fat these days so 2% was fine. This doc thinks that milk fat is good for their brain cells, It's the good fat. Different doc, different ways!

I think the nurse had Syds height off by a half inch though...the way she measures them is by lying them down and making a mark at the feet and the head but I think she measured from Courtneys head mark. They have grown a bit since Decembers check up.

The girls had to get 5 shots today. It is so hard to take them by myself to do that. Especially when they are tired. They havent received the records from Dr. Selcers office so I had to call and get the immunization form faxed over. They have a different schedule here then there so there were 2 extras that they had to get today, that this office gives at 12 months. Poor babies. Sydney went first and after she was done it was so hard to strap her in the stroller so I could hold Courtney. She was crying and Courtney had no clue that it was about to happen to her too. On Syds last shot she got her hand free and ended up hitting the needle as she was pulling it out and got a scratch on her leg. I got them home, loaded them up with some Tylenol and they are sleeping. The nurse said that more then likely they will have fevers for the next day or two but but if it lasts more then 3 we need to call. I sure planned this well with Jon being gone.

Sam on the other had is spending the afternoon with Kim and Jessica. I gave Kim some cash to get some socks so they are spending the afternoon shopping. Sam only had think socks so every time she wanted to wear shoes her feet were getting super sweaty. I just talked to Kim and she said they found a great deal for flip flops (only $3.50) so Sam got two pair! Now they are on there way to get ice cream! YUM!

If Syd sees a blanket she always grabs it and puts it on her...even in this hot weather. If there is a pillow around she is even happier! This mornign she thought the dog bed was a good place to sit and play with a dolly and have some blankie time!
