Beautiful weekend

The weekend was short and sweet. I landed in SF Saturday morning. Jon met me at the airport (he was late though, he missed the Bart train so he had to wait around for the next one.) We rented a red Mustang convertible. Super fun! The weather was perfect! We went to Alamo and visited with the Pates for the afternoon. Jon had to head back to the office for a few hours so I just relaxed and had a tasty early dinner with the Pates. Salmon and broccoli with lots of cheese sauce that Jack couldnt get enough of! We got up to Santa Rosa around 9 and met up with the wedding party at the Wikiup Ranch and Inn They rented the whole place. The courtyard was amazingly beautiful! the whole place was! We stayed up in Geyersville at the Geyersville Inn. Check out the view from our deck
Sunday we woke up and went to breakfast at a place called 'Hanks' in Santa Rosa. We heard about it on The Food Networks show 'Diners, Drive-in and Dives' it was pretty tasty. As you can see I have the best hubs in the world...he irons my shirts!

After breakfast we thought we'd drive around a bit in the fancy convertible and check out some wineries. But the first one we went to they wanted $10 for 4 tastings and neither jon nor I are really big winos so we opted to save the 20 bucks and headed to a sports bar for a couple beers so Jon could watch a little bit of the opening day of the NFL. We then headed back to the the inn for a nice afternoon nap. we were laughing that here we are in a very fun area and its such a beautiful day and we decide to sleep instead of taking in the scenery. We NEVER get to take a nap so it was luxorious.
Scott And Michelles wedding was fabulous. Great food, great people and fun dancing!

wise for her age...

Tonight Kim and all of her kids came over for the weekend. I am heading to wine country for a wedding, meeting Jon up there since he's been in SF since Tuesday. Sam has been super excited for Jessica to come. But sad to say Jess was not in the best of moods this evening. She was being pretty mean to Sam and Kim was trying her best to help Jess through it. Kim was apologizing to Sam for Jessicas behavior and Sam says "Thats ok, I get like that too especially when I am tired."

Rollerplex

This morning we went and checked out this Stroller Skate at the Rollerplex in Peoria. It was a ton of fun but I didnt realize my tires were low on the stroller so it was defintely a work out! Sam had a hard time with the "real" skates so the she tried the Barbieskates and she did much better. What a fun outing. They do it every Friday morning form 9-11. We will for sure be heading over there again!

Johnny Rockets!

We went to Johnny Rockets on Saturday. Jon nor I had never been so we thought we'd try it. It's at the mall where the Princess Store (aka Disney Store) is so of course we spent a little money there too.
The girls really enjoyed the drinks but the food was just OK and it was pretty expensive. The kids meal was something like $5.75 for a hot dog or a hamburger with fries and a drink... of course Sam had to upgrade (for $2) to a shake!

They have juke boxes on every table and every time the song Night fever or YMCA comes on the staff has to dance! Courtney thought thay was sooo cool!

ballet

I signed Sam up for Ballet classes. She has been so excited for it. Yesterday we went to get the ballet shoes and today we are going to get her tights. I was cleaning out the car and the receipt was in there so I looked at it and I totally goofed up. Her classes are on Tuesdays not Thursday which is what I had written down! So we missed her first class! To top it all off she thinks Tuesday is a long ways away and now she'll never get to go! I dont know why I thought it was Thursday. I even wrote Thursday when I signed her up, I even called to make sure and yes I goofed! I feel so bad because thats all she has been talking about for the last week is ballet class!

a car ride

This afternoon we went to get the car washed. Sam was really excited, she loves to go through the wash. But she fell asleep and missed the whole thing. I felt pretty about it but she was out- Courtney spent half the ride crying because Sydney put her foot on her car seat and wouldnt take it off no matter how hard Courtney tried to pry it off. Syd just sat there with a wicked little smile. Then Court cried even louder when we went through the car wash. She doesnt think its as much fun as Sam does. We ended up getting stuck in road construction and it took us a good 30 minutes to get home (its about a 10 minute drive) ugh! When we got home Sam woke up and started screaming because she missed the car wash and wanted to go back so she could go through. I promised we'd go tomorrow with the Tahoe!
