potty training
We are still trying to get these dang twins out of diapers...today Sydney woke up and went straight to the bathroom and then wanted panties. She did great all day only one accident and she even #2 in the potty. (She gets a sucker and a tattoo for that!) Let's hope tomorrow is just as good!
Hodges visit- Julie, Taylor and Dominic
Sorry I was a bad blogger this week but ....On Tuesday Julie Taylor and Dominic came for their 2nd annual visit! It was so fun being able to hang out w them. It's so cute that everytime we took a picture of Samantha and Taylor they would say "BFF" (best friends forever!)
Wednesday we spent the day at the Wildlife World Zoo. We've only been there one other time and that was before the aquarium was finished. It's a great zoo but for some reason they charge way to much for admission.

TLS Carnival
Today was Trinity Lutheran School Carnival. Sam was so excited and it is so great to see her have friends. She was sad when we left because one of her classmates was showing up as we were leaving. We had been there for 2 1/2 hours and it was to hot to stay any longer! They had a lot of fun things for the kids to do...
Courtneys favorite was the tic tac toe ring toss!
but the horse races were fun to watch.
They had a bouncy house, face painting, lots of games where the kids won little treasures like rings and pencils. They also had a book fair which I assumed was one of those scholastic book fairs but it was used books and they were cheap. I got 4 books and the kids got 5 or 6 books and it was only $7. I wish I would have known since I have a ton of books that I would have donated...next year! We spent some time in the gym where I swear the kids ran up and down the basketball court at least 20 times...the twins took great naps afterwards (so did Jon and I!)

cleaning

Last night before dinner (5:15) I made the twins help me clean up the loft. I told them they had to pick up the potato heads and the duplos. I would do everything else. Courtney picked up the potato heads but didnt want to help pick up the duplos. I told them they couldnt eat or go in the hot tub until they were all picked up. They pretty much played w them while I picked up all the other stuff (books, princesses, stuffed animals etc) When I was all done Jon said dinner was ready. I put the girls in their rooms while I ate and told them after I was done eating they could come out and clean up then eat. I finished up went upstairs and let them start cleaning...they were not doing it. They couldnt play w anything else but they were subborn. At 7:45 after Jon and Sam had a nice soak in the hot tub I told him he had to figure out a way to get them to do it. He said he sat on the floor (I did that for awhile) and said if they didnt have it picked up in 5 minutes they would go to bed w out any dinner. They cleaned it all up and came downstairs and ate. They didnt get to soak though which they were very upset about but that was the consequence. It just made me so mad that Jon got them to clean up and after I tried everything...except threaten bedtime w out eating....

date night
My parents have been in town for the week. They are leaving very early tomorrow morning. Tonight we were trying to figure out what to have for dinner when Mom said why dont we just order pizza and you and Jon can go out on a date. I'm never going to turn that down. We ordered the pizza nad headed to Red Robin. I've been craving their fries lately. We were going to go to a movie but there was nothing worth $20 to see so we went to barnes and noble, ross, big 5, kohls and bashas. I was the only thing that got anything. I think date nights are so important even if you do nothing but walk around and talk. We didnt talk about anything important but I love just being w just him. He makes me happy. It's nice to go out w out the kids and just be with eachother. Yay for date night!
Jeepers!
Today we took Papa to Jeepers! Amusement park in Mesa. The kids love it there and Papa loved watching them go on all the rides and play the games!
