bath time

The only downside to Alropa is that there is no bath tub so we improvised! We only did it this way the first day the other days the girls just screamed while I held them in the shower...but they have to bathe with all the sand and salty water...it's everywhere!

First Beach Day

My cousin Sarah has the cutest little beach house (they call it Alropa) in Birch Bay. It's pretty much next door to my parents condo so last year we stayed there. Jon couldnt be with us last year but this year he made it so he could take a few days off and join us. Sarah also has another cabin right next door. She is the mom to Wyatt and Dawson so they stayed at their cabin while we were there too. Plus my cousin Lori rented a cabin down the road with her mom, sister (Denise) and daughter Trinity. Good times were had! It is so much fun and the sunsets are amazing! We already booked our week for next year.
My parents condo complex is the gray buildings on the left. Alropa is the house to the right. It looks like it is two stories but it is only one. It's perfect!

Like I said "Amazing sunsets"
We totally lucked out this trip too. The tide was out everyday at the perfect times and the weather couldnt get any better! The kids loved it. Here are pictures of the first day.
the twins thought the shovel and bucket were spoons and bowls and wanted to eat them at first

but they figured it out
Sam loves making sand castles!
the girls loved getting sandy and WET!

Courtney especially!

Sam at first didnt like these little water ways but after the last day she was swimming in them!

Ring Around the Rosey

So I am finally getting around to getting caught up from our trip...lots of blogs to write...here is the video I promised when we were at Wyatt and Dawsons.

Everson Park

My parents drove around Everson the other day and found this park. After dinner we checked it out and it was FUN! It brought me back to the my days at the park when I was a kid. It wasnt up to 2008 codes but it had all the good stuff! Sydney and Courtney both slipped off the tall slide, thankfully Jon was there to catch them! They all LOVED the teeter totter. I think tonight was the first time the twins have ever been on one...if you watch the video you will hear how much they dug it!
I tried so hard to get a picture of the three of them looking at the camera...no luck today!

I was into shooting a lot of video but my parents dont have any editing tools so you get a bunch of them instead one long one!

mall fun

Its still cold and wet here so we made the best of it. We checked out Bellinghams Farmers market which was neat but everything was WAY to expensive. I saw a bar of soap that I thought Sam would like but it was $12 so of course I didnt buy it! Jon bought one peach for $2. It was a tasty peach but two bucks! As you can see I am alittle cheap! It started to sprinkle so we went to the mall for a quick little "free" playtime before nap time.

haircuts

Leahs good friend Anna cut Sydney and Samanthas hair yesterday. Syd really needed it and Sam just wanted hers cut too. They all got suckers and chocolate chips cookies when they were all done. Courtney too even though she still doesnt need a haircut since my attempt in May!

Trinity visits

Our cousin Trinity came for a visit yesterday morning. She brought along her mom Lori and Grandma Lois too. A fun time was had by all!

Sam thought it was so fun to pick up Trinity.
I probably took 15 pictures of them sitting here and this was the best of the bunch!
