Happy Thanksgiving
Sydney woke up happy and healthy this morning! Yay. So we all went to TX. The whole event was pretty uneventful. This is the second Thanksgiving that we have flown out on the actual day and I highly recommend it. the plane was practically empty. which is great since we flew southwest and the twins are still "lap" kids. if the plane was full of people they would have actually had to sit on our laps. All three of them were pretty good fliers today. Sam was the best. She listened and practically did everything we told her to amazingly. The twins were pretty good too except for take off and landing when they did actually have to sit on our laps...they did not like that. Pa picked us up and took us back to their house. Grandmother is in the hospital and hopefully will be getting out Sunday or Monday. She hadnt been feeling very well and having trouble breathing. She had fluid in her lungs which they drained but now she jsut needs to get some energy and strength back before the dr. will discharge her. We will be visiting her in the morning. Hopefully seeing the girls will help her spirits. Tonight it was really cute. the way the sleeping arrangements are here the twins have to sleep in the same room. We have syd sleeping on the cushions from the couch on the floor and Courtney on the bed. Sam really wanted to sleep with them but they were having such a hard time going to sleep that we didnt think that would be such a good idea. The twins arent use to being in the same room with each other so it was quite fun for them. This was the first time since they have been out of the cribs that they slept in the same room so the freedom was exciting for them since they were together. they finally settle down and went to sleep so when 'snow white' was over sam begged to sleep with them. I told her we could try but she had to go to sleep. She was so excited. She said "I get to sleep in the same bed with Courtney we get to sleep with eachothery" I think this is the first time all three of them have slept in the same room. Sam kept getting up though and I was afraid that she was going to wake her sisters up so I told her she had to sleep in the other room...she then threw a fit and I thought for sure the twins were going to wake but they didnt. I got jon and he got her to settle down and go to sleep.
Tomorrow we are having out Thanksgiving dinner with Jons sister and her family plus Pa's kids and their families might be joining us as well.
Here are a few shots waiting to get on the plane.

more sickness
Sydney woke up from her nap with a fever of 102.7. I gave her some tylonel and we snuggled on the couch watching Dora. After laying there for about 30 minutes she threw up all over herself, me, the couch and the towel we were using as a blanket. Poor thing. We'll see how the night and morning goes. We have a flight out tomorrow afternoon to visit Jons family in Houston hopefully she'll be feeling better...if not she and I will be staying behind and catching a flight out on Friday or Saturday. Happy Thanksgiving!!

the mall
While the twins were a napping this afternoon Samantha and I went to the mall for some shopping...first stop Starbucks for some Hot Chocolate!
Then we did some shopping. Mervyns is going out of business so I got the girls all matching outfits for our plane ride to TX on Turkey day. They are going to look really cute and very cheesey! Sam also picked out a red dress and pink stripped stretch pants. It was fun to just hang with Sam wish I could do that more often with each of the little critters!

a late movie
Last night Jon and I went and saw the new Bond movie (great action but the story line was hard to follow.) While Jon put the twins down I went over and got Rachel, Kims 13 yr, to babysit. we told her Sam could stay up until 10 but more then likely she'd fall asleep watching tv with her. (Thats exactly what happened!) But right after we left Sydney woke up and Rachel couldnt get her to go back to sleep. She didnt know to just leave her in her room and eventually she'd cry herself to sleep. So when we got home at 11:45 there was Syd wide awake and happy as can be. I drove Rachel back home and when I got back she was sitting up in bed with Jon watching tv. It was super cute but super late. I took her back to her bed and laid with her until she finally fell asleep which took her about 30 minutes! we thought for sure she'd sleep in but she woke up at 7:30. it wasice to get out without kids!
We did go out to dinner to the Village Inn with the kids last night. They twins were horrible- I think it's official, we wont be going out to eat with them (unless its the pizza place) for the next few months!

more about the frogs
When Sam woke up I asked what the frogs were doing in her room last night, she said "I dont think they were really in my room mom, it was just dream and they were hopping on my pillow."
frogs
At 1:30 am Sam came into my room and told me there were frogs in her room. I being half asleep made her repeat it. I told her why dont you sleep with me and we'll deal with it in the morning. She liked that idea. I checked her room when I got up...no frogs. Dreams!

Thanksgiving feast
Sam felt much better today! yay! She had her Thanksgiving feast at preschool today. It was during the twins naps so they were a little cranky but didnt melt down much while we were there. Sydney did take her shirt off for half the party and I didnt push her to put it back on or she would have thrown a fit! They put on a little singing concert in the chapel. So cute to here the kids sing. Then we went to her classroom for a little party. Sams turkey card is really cute, the feathers are her hand prints and the the body of the turkey is her foot print!

sickness
With three kids, it seems like one is sick at all times. I swear its been over a month when I have had all three healthy at the same time! Courtney brought a cold into the mix...it starts with a fever and needing to be held and two days later its a full blown snot nosed kid. They are all about 2 or 3 days behind eachother. Sam had the fever and was really pretty tired all day today. I feel so bad for her too. Tomorrow is her big Thanksgiving feast at school and I think she is going to have to miss it. She was looking so forward to it too. Poor girl!

bike riding and Frisbee
Fro Fathers Day we told Jon we'd buy him a new bike and a trailer for the twins. I finally got the trailer yesterday, we havent gotten him his bike yet...soon!
Courtney really doesnt like riding in it. I still have a baby seat on the back of my bike so she rode in that mostly. They were cute at first. I need to go get them helmets today!
We rode over to the park for some fun times. We found a frisbee there which was a good 30 minutes of fun.

New York City
Sam is infactuated with NYC. She makes up stories about trips that she and her Dad have gone on to the Big Apple. She talks about the Statue of Liberty and Central Park. She only goes on these trips with her Dad, the twins and I never go. It's so funny. And if she see the City on TV she is mesmorized by the place. If she was a little bit older I'd make her Dad to take her for a long weekend!
craft time
I was out running errands this morning and found this cool box of foam shapes with holes in it. I thought the girls would love to make necklaces out of them. They thought it was so fun. After they all made necklaces Courtney and Sam made me make crowns for them while Sydney was happy with a bracelet. They also really liked the pipe cleaners. Sam like pink, Courtney liked blue and Sydney wanted them all! Sam wanted me to make her a flower like the one that was on the package for the pipe cleaners and when it was all doen she gave me a big hug and said with a huge smile on her face "Thank you Mother, it is so beautiful" I think its so funny when she calls me Mother, it sounds so formal!

another fun trip to 'enchanted island'
After the twins went down for their naps this afternoon, Samantha, Alexa and I headed over to Enchanted Island (or Giselle Island as sam calls it- Giselle is the princess in the movie 'Enchanted') Sam had fun going on all the rides. The only rides Alexa and I can go on with her are the teacups, merry go round and the train. Today was Sams first time on the teacups and we had to go on them twice. We did go on the train between the two rides because that ride sure makes me woozy!

Friendship Park
We had a picnic at the park today. I thought we'd venture down to Friendship Park in Avondale. It's a great park with 3 different playgrounds. I thought there were only two and today I saw another one. It had a couple of the coolest teeter totters. The girls spent a lot of time playing on them. The playground itself was a little advanced for the little ones. Sydney went down one of the slides and it was sorta curved and she twisted, turned and did a somersalt. Kinda freaked her out (and me too) she didnt go down that slide again!
