Taylor is THREE

Today is Taylors birthday...yipee she is three! We went to her favorite restaurant for dinner (Fresh Choice) and to the Bayfair mall play area. A fun time was had by all!

Samantha picked out a dolly and a Holly Hobbie video called "Best Friends Forever" she first wanted to get her a princess movie but Taylor doesnt have the princess obsession like Sam does...

Duplos

We played for a long time in Sams room tonight w the duplo blocks. The twins spent a lot of time playing with the box we keep them in while Sam enjoyed making a tower w her dad and a wall with mom. Sydney knocked them both over which she was very proud of.

Jon was really happy to see Courtney playing with a car...he's hoping she's his tomboy (good luck daddy)

out of the house again

We had to get out of the house this afternoon because a couple realtors called and wanted to show the house...so we headed up to Emeryville for lunch and then went to the park at the Marina in San Leandro. It sure was great to get outside since it has been so rainy and cold this past week. It was 65* this afternoon so it was a pleasant a day and the girls and Barley really liked being outside. When we got home one of the realtors didnt show but ended up coming a few minutes after we arrived. Sure wish we'd get this house sold! Another realtor called and wants to show it tomorrow afternoon so we have to go somewhere again....

Rainy Day

It's been raining all day long...the twins had a great morning nap and are taking an afternoon one now. It's hard to keep all three of them entertained all day. Sam and I mad mac and cheese from scratch for lunch and I think they all like it from a box better. We've got the tv on in the background. Sam has been coloring and making a nice mess in her room (we have to show the house tomorrow too...ugh!) I brought the slide in this afternoon they all played on it but Courtney seemed to like it the most. Sydney really likes the "gumball" machine.

Habitot

Today the Monday morning Toddling Times playgroup met up at Habitot in Berkeley. I had been there about ten years ago w the Emilie's so I thought I'd check it out again. Wrong day to go because it was "free" day and there were way to many people. Thank goodness we saw Tracy and Jaina first thing or I think I might have had to leave. Tracy took Jaina and Sam and did some painting while I parked myself in the crawling/baby zone. The twins had fun but there were a lot of kids in there too. They are about 6 months away from really enjoying the place but then we'll be gone (sniff sniff) Samantha got to paint her face painted all pink striped.

"Long" day

We spent the day with the Longs. We met at the Bayfair mall for some play time there, then headed to McD's for there play place and lunch then after a quick stop by my house for a 10 minute tidy we headed up to their house. Sam adores Parker and loves to play with him (as much as 3 year olds play with eachother) She just likes him being around. She was so sad the whole way home because she wanted him to come to our house.

On a different note...
Ever since we lowered the price of the house the house has had a lot of traffic. We have had two good open houses with one offer on the table so far. It was a low ball offer so we are countering, we'll see...and today for some strange reason (could be the fed lowered interest rates 3/4%) we had 3 realtors come in w clients this afternoon! Needlessly to say trying to keep this house tidy with three rugrats is a chore. After lunch the twins fell asleep in the car and Sam was content watching her movie in there so I ran in the house and did a quick clean. Sam hardly ever uses the little potty in the bathroom but on occasion she will. Jon and I are horrible at checking it to see if there is anything in it so as I was doing the quick clean I picked up the potty and dropped it...full of pee...everywhere. What a mess! Pray for the perfect buyer!

I try and try ...

I try and try to get the twins to look at the camera at the same time and I can take so many pictures and the just wont do it! Moments before I snap the picture they are looking right at me but it's like they sense I am going to take the picture so one always looks away...sometimes both.

I end up taking pictures of the individually which is probably a good thing for them...they wont have a ton of pictures of the two of them but they sure will have a lot of them by themselves.

the princess sleeps

Samantha watched a little princess movie for her quiet time today. I went in a checked on her and I thought she was sitting there quietly watching her program then I looked a little closer and sure enough she was sound asleep.
here she is about 20 minutes later
and another 20 minutes... slowly waking!
I love it when she naps!!

blood

This morning was Sam's playgroup plus a realtor called to show the house between 10:30-12 so it was mad rush morning. Especially since they didnt wake up until after 8. I had the twins all strapped in the car and Sam was in her seat but she decided she didnt want to wear the jacket she had on so she jumped out of the car to change. She was taking forever so I go in to see what was happening and there is blood everywhere, on her face, in her hair, her shirt, pants, all over the sink, all over the toilet, on her bedroom floor...everywhere. She had cut her thumb some how and was trying to clean it by herself with toilet paper and cotton balls. She didnt want to wear a bandaid. She wasnt crying and she was acting like she was embarressed but she wouldnt tell me how she did it. She still wont. I had to clean her up ( and the house), change and off to playgroup we went. She sat in the car for a little bit because she didnt want anybody to know that she had hurt herself. It was the strangest reaction and hopefully her Daddy can get it out of her what happened. Boggles the mind. It is amazing though how much blood there was in such a short amount of time and such a tiny little cut... and to top it all off the damn realtor didnt show up!

Samantha played Candyland w Auntie Ruth today for the first time. She just wanted the Princess card. She still needs some practice!

Jon is convinced that Cj is going to be his little sports star. She may be the smallest of the bunch but she defintely is the toughest! Today she pulled around the golf bag for a while and this evening she was playing w the golf club.
