We found another fun park today. It has a merry go round! It also has a petting zoo and a little train that goes around the park but both were closed today. Next time!
Om another note...The little ones tried a taste of talipia tonight. Sydney of course loved it but Cj spit it right out!

3 day weekend
At the park
Jon and Sam had a camp out last night. I snuggled with them until 930 then went in the house w the twins...they were already asleep in their cribs. They slept all night with out waking at all! It was the best night since they were born!Barley made a bunch of noise at 530 and woke Syd up then so I let B-dog outside and brought Syd to bed with me. Courtney didnt wake up until 7 and at 8 Sam and Jon came in. at 815 Samantha woke up her sisters. She really wants them to be able to play with her. They just smile and giggle at her all the time. She loves them sooo much. We met up with Julie, Taylor and Dom at the park and played. Happy Memorial Day everyone!

Courtney eats green
Courtney hasnt liked to eat. She turns her head and wont open her mouth. I wasnt to concerned because she isnt 6 months yet and some people dont even start the whole solid food thing until then. A couple weeks ago I asked my twins club if I should not even try or what. After getting about 10 responses pretty much everyone agreed I should just sit her in her chair and give her a taste when her sister eats. (Sydney loves to eat no problem there!) Keep her in the routine. Yesterday mom fed her green beans and she seemed to eat a tablespoon and today she ate squash and rice cereal for breakfast but tonight she was a pig and ate 2 peas and one sweet potato (I make their food and freeze them in ice cube trays--each cube is a little bit more then a tablespoon) So I think we might have turned a corner here and now I am going to have to start feeding both of them!

TGIF
**********It's been a long week. Debbie's was closed again today. But Alexa Kay was over at the Pates so we went and visited. We (Akl, Emily and my girls) went to target. Sam was being two so I sent them all back to the car while I checked out. I had 5 $1 off coupons for the formula so it took forever because they had to make a transaction for each one...what I do to save a buck! Hey with 2 kids on formula it's expensive!! Sure wished I could have kept up on the breast feeding... So when I got back out to the Suburban which we are borrowing for the weekend while the folks are in town but I digress... they were all happy listening to Disney tunes but when I tried to turn the car on, no go. UGH! I saw a tow truck in the parking lot and I ran over to see if he could give me a jump which he did but it took a long time, first the battery thing was all carroded and it wouldnt take a jump from the little machine so he had to clean up the battery thngy and get out the big cables. He didnt charge me anything so I gave him a couple taco coupons from Baja Fresh that I had in my purse. What a nice guy! We then went to taco bell and back to the Pates for more playing. By the time we got home it was 3 and Sam didnt fall asleep on the drive home so she took a 3 hour nap...woke up right when her Daddy got home to take her gymnastics. While she was napping I got some good snuggles from the twins. I sat in the recliner with both of them and they took naps. Oh it was soo cute and cuddly.

Wednesday!
What a day...Sam's daycare was closed today so I didnt get my middle of the week break! It was a long day to say the least. I took my girls for the first time to a park all by myself...yay!! Sam was great until the end when she took her shoes off for the third time. She is 2 and doesnt like to listen to her mother!! We did go out to lunch at Quiznos after the park and she was a complete angle. We were in Danville so on the drive back home she fell asleep and she does not transfer well so for the next 2 hours of me trying to get her to sleep and her refusing and the twins crying and not taking naps either I wanted to just leave but I cant do that so I called Jon and told him when he got home I was leaving!! I then called Julie and she brought her kids over and at first that was a disaster, the girls werent playing very well together and we wanted them to play outside so we shut the gates and made them play out there...they cried and cried until finally Julie went out there and played with them for 15 minutes and they were as happy as can be. By the time Jon got home everything had settled down and all was good. Julie and I did go out for a couple cocktails after all the kids got put down. It sure is great having a friend to do this all with! and even better having a husband who is so understanding~~ taylor, julie and samantha

Happy Mother's Day
I woke up with 2 babies in our bed and Sam wanting to get in. Jon took her into the other room and about 20 minutes later she snuck back in and woke us all up. She wanted me to get up so I can open my present, which she proceeded to tell me was a camera! It was very funny and Jon was trying to tell her not to tell me. He then made me my favorite breakfast...crab benedict! So tasty...I've got the best husband in the world. Then we went to the Home Depot and bought some tomoato plants then we spent the afternoon working in the yard. Sam and Courtney took awesome naps but Sydney is not a long napper so she sat in the play pen and watched us until Courtney woke up then they moved to there Bumbo seats. We went to Chevy's for dinner but Sam was a pill by the end of it. She just is no fun to take out to eat! Now they are all in bed and I am going to let calgone take me away!
the parade
Saturday was the annual Castro Valley parade. We had never been before so we gathered up the kiddos and heading one down. It was a neat little parade that was 2 hours long! It started out with the Alameda bomb squad which we thought was rather hilarious, Sam really enjoyed all the horses...there was even a unicorn! When we got home all the kids to great naps!

why do I clean?
Today was a cleaning day...I started in the yellow room, then the orange, then the twins, then the kitchen and finally the master bedroom. In every room I would put Samantha's stuff in a laundry basket and when it was full I would dump it in the middle of her room...I must have had 5 baskets full of her toys and such. When Sam came home she sure thought it was neat to have a pile of toys in her room!
I took Sam again to gymnastics, she sure does love that. Today she spent a lot of time on the balance beam and she is getting really good at it. She still likes to hold my hand and she sings "skip to my lu." She also loves the rings and the bars too. When we got home Jon had pretty much had the twins fed and cooked us a tasty fish dinner. what an awesome husband I have!

Sammy KAY and Alexa KAY
playing in the backyard Alexa had a little layover here before getting on the plane with Sarah, Emily and Jenny and jetting off to London today so the twins and I surprised her and picked her up at the airport. Sam was at Debbie's so we had to get her and then we went to ice cream...they both got lime daiquiri flavored, it was green and Sam wanted green! We then played in the backyard until she had to go. Alexa was spinning her around and making her run after spinning and she kept falling down, it was very funny! They had a lot of fun and Sam was sad to see her go. She will be back for a couple days after her trip so they can play some more! The weather has been so great this past week and Jon got home early enough so after dinner we took a nice leisurely stroll around the block. I sure wish I'd win the lottery so he wouldn't have to go to work at all!

the girls
So much fun just playing in the yard with the girls. Samantha loves to put on sunscreen, I told her it makes her look pretty! It's been hot the past couple days - I think it was 93* yesterday, today was alittle cooler maybe just 90*! Sam's been playing in the little pool Jon picked up for this past weekend. It's just so much fun!!
Twin Toddler play date
Today we went to Rachels house for a twin & toddler playdate. We all have twin girls but Ebba (Fiona & Allison) and Rachel (Elizabeth & Miranda) have big boys. Sam thinks boys are really neat now because of that "Baa Baa Black sheep song" so she had a blast playing with Parker and Lincoln. We had a lot of fun. It's nice to be around others going through the same thing. It's just so crazy having twins and a toddler!

It's Saturday
We went to Tilden park in Berkeley today and rode the "choo choo." It was a nice sunny warm day so it was good to get out and do something. We went to our favorite place in Emeryville for lunch and spent some time at the Borders. Samantha loves to look at books. As you can see she loves to read to her sisters too! It's just too dang cute. She picked out a Dora sticker book today. When we got home she wouldn't take a nap so that made for an early bedtime. All the kiddos were asleep by 8...yeah!! I ended up going to Kohl's tonight and shopped. It was nice to get out on my own and do a little shopping without a kid or 3. Of course I bought a little something for Sam.

it's feeding time
Feeding two kids sure is challenging especially with a 26 month old who wants to do it! My Grama Toot told me once that she loved her babies but she sure didnt enjoy feeding them...I laughed at that but I'm only 3 days into feeding twins solids and boy is it time consuming! Plus I'm only doing it twice a day for now until we hit the fruits. Our doctor has us start with yellow veggies, green veggies, cereal, meat then fruit...What a process!
