Vegas Baby Vegas

Last Weds June 24 my best friend Kim, Alyssa, Alexa and I drove up to Vegas for the night. Alyssa had never been since she turned 21. Way to quick of a trip but we got a lot in.

All and all it was a fun trip...Kim and I were "wheel of fortune" slot champs. Came home with money still on our pockets! Always a good thing when you leave VEGAS!

Last night we went to the D-backs game. The main reason we went was for the fireworks show aftrerwards since the Diamondbacks are pretty much the worst team in the league. Alyssa and Alexa stopped by Walmart for some cheaper tee shirts and killer hats!

Alexa Kay is here for a visit. This afternoon Samantha, Alyssa and Alexa went and got there nails done. I had gone on Saturday and noticed the nail salon just got these cute little spa chairs for the kids-$25 for a pedicure & manicure and 4 designs. Looks like Sam was in heaven!

Crayons

This morning the twins dumped out the crayon box. I yelled and threaten for them to pick them up and they wouldnt. I wouldnt do anything for them either until they picked them up. We went to a puppet show at the Goodyear City hall. If Sam wasnt so excited for it I would have not gone since the girls wouldnt even touch a crayon. SO when we got back I told them they couldnt have anything to eat or drink until those crayons were all picked up.I kept taking dolls away from them too...they were being so stubborn and would not even humor me. I think Alyssa started feeling bad since they kept asking for juice and I kept telling them to pick up the crayons and then they'd cry and run away. So Alyssa made a race out of it with Syd and Courtney didnt want to play! Can you say STUBBORN?! SO i finally fed them and gave them something to drink at 2:15 and they were in bed for naps by 2:45.

Happy Father's Day Swim

We got Jon a fancy driver for Father's Day. There is a driving range really close to the house that is pretty cool according to Jon. It loads the balls onto the tee for you and it has airconditioning where you tee off at. He took Sam for an hour or so and they had a blast. Sam wanted to go work on her putting but after hitting about 6 balls she told Jon she was "frickin" hot so they went and got cool drinks at the QT then headed home for a dip in the pool! What a great ending to a great day!

Happy Father's Day Daddy-O. I miss you and wish you were here...buy a house here so you can see me and the babies all the time!!

an adventure

for Fathers Day we drove to Joe's Farm Grill. A place we saw on the food networks "diner's, drive in's and dive's." It's in Gilbert so it was a bit of a drive.
the dvd player died so the girls were bored...

We were going to make it a "diner's, drive in's and dive's" day but I dont think we are going to make it to the pizza place in Glendale tonight. The food at Joe's was yummy but now we are completely stuffed! We ordered way to much...Jon got an Ahi tuna sandwich, I got the pesto chicken sandwich with grilled onions, peppers and muchrooms, the kids each got there own kids meal (2 grilled cheese and one chicken strip all with fries) a strawberry milkshake, onion rings and blueberry cheesecake!! Yes stuffed!

from scratch

Yesterday Alyssa made her first cake from scratch (well the cake part was she ended up buying the frosting) The kids got to stay up late to have some and we all thought she did a excellent job! way better then my first attempt at a cake from scratch! She also cleaned the kitchen and cleaned up the pee on the floor from Courtney who didnt want to wear a diaper or go to the potty! We'll keep her for a bit longer ;)

The unlucky Tahoe

I just realized I never blogged about out Tahoe being stolen the night of June 2. Jon went out of town for just one night and that night I accidentally left the garage door open. Alyssa and I took took the kids to Costco for a few things and ice cream. We ended up getting home about a half hour past the twins bed time so I rushed getting all the stuff in the house. The last thing I remember was getting the case of vitamin water and coming into the house. I think I left the back of the Tahoe open even. I never leave my purse in the car either and I did that night. Well at some point after 12:30 am some scum balls came into the garage and took the car...purse and all. When I woke at 7:30 the next morning I noticed a lot of light coming through the almost shut door to the garage. I opened and to my surprise the Tahoe was gone. I called the police and they were here within 15 minutes. The sheriff wrote up the report and was gone by 8:30 am. At 11 I got the call that they had found the Tahoe. I was still at this point playing phone tag with the insurance lady so by the time I talked to her it wasnt a stolen car anymore. We had just changed insurance c.o to Geico (we saved a bundle) last month and we hadnt read the fine print just yet so our fancy stereo/nav system (that had been stolen 2 other times) wasnt completely covered. We only got $1000 for it and these guys stole a head rest w a dvd player inside and the expensive amp along with the front unit. They also stole my prescription sunglasses, about 40 kids dvds and 2 car seats. The personal property was only set to $200 (that doesnt include the car seats though) so we pretty much are out $400 for all those dvds we had. Oh yeah...they got to the credit cards in my purse and used a few. They werent very smart robbers because they only used them at gas stations! I am more sad about losing all the stuff in my wallet then I am about the getting my car stolen. It's amazing how much crap I had in there that I miss. I even went to where the cops found the car and looked in the garbage cans around to see if they threw my wallet or anything else in there of ours but I couldnt see anything and I wasnt going to dumpster dive. I'm glad we got the car back but boy that thing is a pain. We decided to just take the cash and we'll put just a plain ol stereo in the car now. Having an in dash nav system just isnt working for us. We hopefully will be getting the tahoe back today or maybe tomorrow. This whole thing could have turned really ugly since the door to the garage was pretty much open. Now I am pretty adament about locking everything up. I still havent used the alarm system we have set up throughout the house. I am just so mad that this happened. We live on a street that isnt even a through street so these guys are just driving around our neighborhoods looking for suckers like me who leave the garage door open. It's sad really.

Jon got back just after dinner tonight from his trip to Orlando to help set up a trade show. The kids were so excited for him to be home. They got to stay up a little later tonight for a dip in the pool with their Daddy!

Sydney was the ham this morning...after her and her sisiter had a huge fight. Sometimes I jsut have to sit back and watch them duke it out. Sydney is such a bully and Courtney has decided she jsut isnt going to take it any more so boy when they fight it sure gets nasty sometimes! But here Syd is being superdy duperdy cute!

birthday cake

Kims kids and her nephews spent the afternoon making this amazing 5 layer cake for Kim. She joins me tomorrow in the over 40 club! She blew out ALL of her candles in one breath! The cake was on fire!!
