Sammy Kay is 3

Sam is finally 3. She woke up this morning and I told her it was her birthday. She wanted her presents. We saved Grandmother and Pa's package for today and the twins gift to her, everthing else she opened at her party the other day. We had to wait for daddy to wake up before she got them. I did give her a new princess comforter which she promptly snuggled into. I went into the kitchen to make my coffee and about 2 minutes later she runs in and asks "if it's my birthday does that mean I am three?" Yep sam you are three!!

Sam got a musical princess card from her daddy and the "chutes and ladders" from her sisters!

Grandmother and Pa sent her some Princess books with a cd that reads the stories to her.

and they also sent a fun A B C learn to write book.

We went to Monterey Bay Aquarium. Wrong day to go with it being a holiday weeekend and all but the crowd didnt bother Sam at all. She loved the jelly fish and the otters.
this is the position that the twins spent the day in, strapped in a stroller...poor girls. it was way to crowded to let them out.
Jelly fish everywhere!

these were my favorite they had purple spots on them

she got a little tired and found a nice spot to take a "rest"

still strapped in! what a view though...
I totally forgot to bring the kids jackets so

we bought Sam a new jacket and she got hugged by a huge otter!

The restaurant gave her a free ice cream sundae! We sang happy birthday while...

She blew out her candle!

Here they are again...still strapped in!

I wish I would have video taped this...Sam was walking in the sand, bends down takes her shoe off, shakes the sand out of her shoe and tries to put her shoe back on without getting sand in it. Daddy came to the rescue!
Walking on the beach w dad

We ended the day with a game of "chutes and ladders" Sam thought it was a fun game but she didnt like it if your piece landed on one that didnt look like it! She also thought going down the slide was really fun...especially the pink one!!
SHE IS THREE!

oh what a fun year!
